We understand that leaving your cat behind—whether for a day or a week—can be stressful. That’s why at Whittington Veterinary Clinic, we offer feline-friendly boarding designed to keep your cat safe, comfortable, and cared for in a quiet, low-stress environment.
Our Cat Boarding Features:
- Quiet, separate boarding area designed for feline comfort
- Cozy, clean kennels with soft bedding
- Daily cleaning and litter box maintenance
- One-on-one attention and gentle handling from our experienced team
- Veterinarian on call for any medical concerns that arise during their stay
Boarding Drop-Off & Pick-Up Info:
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No pick-up/drop-off on weekends or holidays
- Boarding is charged per night
- Day boarding available for a small fee—great for vet visits, errands, or renovations at home
- If your cat is scheduled for surgery, day boarding is included, and early drop-off (the day before) is welcome
What to Expect During Your Cat’s Stay Your cat will enjoy:
- A clean, calm space away from noisy dogs
- Regular feeding and fresh water
- Litter box scooping and clean bedding
- Light interaction based on your cat’s comfort level
We also offer add-on services, including nail trims, mild mat removal, and basic technician care. Just let us know at drop-off!
Boarding Requirements for Cats
To keep all our feline guests safe and healthy, please ensure your cat:
- Is up to date on Rabies and FVRCP vaccines
- Has completed all required vaccines at least 3 days prior to boarding
- Is on flea prevention or will be treated upon arrival
- Has any medications labeled in original containers with clear instructions
- Has a signed boarding agreement at check-in
- Comes with their own food (optional) — or we’ll provide a high-quality, in-house diet for digestive comfort
New Cat Clients Welcome!
For new feline guests, we kindly ask:
- Submit vaccination records ahead of time
- Schedule a pre-boarding exam if your cat hasn’t been seen by us before
- Cats with certain health concerns or temperaments may require special accommodations —we’ll discuss options with you in advance
